a fellow zoner needs prayer

Category: Let's talk

Hi everyone. I'm posting this to let everyone know that Jessie, also known as rebelwoman, could really use some prayer from everyone who believes in the power of prayer. I won't go into detail here, but she was shot yesterday and not doing to well at the moment. So any fellow zoners who believe in the power of prayer, please pray for her. I would really appreciate it and I'm sure her and her family will to. Thanks very much.

if there's 1 thing i really don't like, it's constantly checking back on the threads for no updates.

Hi all. thanks to all who have posted. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. There's some good news. Last I heard, Jessie is awake, weak and in pain, but awake. She was actually able to talk to me on aim for a few minutes last night. Her typing wasn't all that good but it was a good sign she was able to do it. I don't know how long she'll stay in the hospital, but she's now out of the intensive care unit and in recovery. Thanks again for all your prayers, and please keep praying that she will recover fully. I'll post more when I know more. I won't be online for a couple of days, but will post when I can. Again, thanks to all who have read, posted, and prayed.

She was shot by an ex boyfriend. I don't want to get into deatail here because I want to respect her privacy. If she says its ok I'll post how it happened, or she can tell anyone who wants to know once she's up and around again. But for now I wish to keep those details to myself.

I don't believe in the power of prayer, but I'll hope that Jessie gets through this, as I've said previously.

I second that. I also hope that justice is served to the one who shot her.

I shall say a prayer for her and wish her well. Keep up posted. I do hope she recovers.

My thoughts are with her and her family. I hope she recovers quickly and that the guy is brought to justice.

Post 14 by the wrath of fire (Veteran Zoner) on Sunday, 14-Nov-2010 14:51:06

Hi all. Once again, thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. She really appreciates them. Last I heard the guy who shot her was caught and is awaiting trial. Not sure how that'll turn out yet of course, but at least he was caught. Jessie seems to still be doing ok. She's still in the hospital, but recovery seems to be going well, if not slowly. I'll keep everyone up to date as I find out more.

I'm glad the person who shot her, was finally caught. she didn't deserve to have that happen.

Post 16 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Sunday, 14-Nov-2010 17:24:03

Certainly not, and I hope he spends a very long time, if not for the rest of his life, in jail for that.

I am glad that she is doing better!

God bless her and her family.

Hi all. Thanks once again for everyone who has posted and prayed for her. She's out of the hospital and home now. She says breathing is still a bit painful, but she's able to get back to work since she does a lot of her work via the computer. She says she'll need bedrest for a while, but thank God she's doing well and recovering. Thanks one and all for your posts, thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated.

Post 23 by the wrath of fire (Veteran Zoner) on Wednesday, 17-Nov-2010 18:07:14

Hi everyone. Just a little update on Jessie. She says she's getting stronger and is able to do more things each day. She says she'll probably always have some breathing problems and she'll have a scar once the wound heals, but she should make an almost complete recovery. As always, thanks from her and me for everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Post 25 by The SHU interpreter (I just keep on posting!) on Saturday, 19-Mar-2011 21:33:27

where did she get shot if i may ask? i am glad she's doing good and is strong. I will never forget when i almost fell through the platform underneath he train and my cain was on the train because when i used it to step on the train i was clumsy and my whole body fell between the train and platform. It's pretty hard to take that big of a step being that i'm only 4 ft 11. and the gap in the station was wide, but luckily i didn't have major injuries but i could have died if no one saw me because it was very dark out and it was pretty late. THe train was overly crowded and i was helping mom with bags on my other hand and my cane because we went shopping for christmas. That would have been the last christmas if it weren't for a good samaritan.
